The Vintage Shop

The Vintage Shop is a retail store in Auckland that specialises in the sourcing, renovation and curation of Mid-century Modern Furniture. Each piece is generally one-of-a-kind and sells quickly, thus making photographing and advertising the items difficult. The high turnover of such sought after unique pieces, meant that once the ad had gone to print, the item was most likely already sold. To combat this, the concept for this ad campaign was to shift away from imaging actual stock and instead focus on the beautiful textures and colours of retro interior design.
Handmade collage and painting were combined digitally to make these compositions, in a set of 8 to be published over the course of a year in various New Zealand interior design magazines.
